In nineteen oh one, during the third exhibition dedicated to Ramon Casas, organized by the magazine Pel and Ploma, several pastel drawings by a twenty-year-old unknown were quietly included. That young artist... was Pablo Picasso. It was the First time Picasso's work had ever been shown in a commercial art gallery. Anywhere.......... And then there's the Dali scandal. In nineteen twenty-eight, a young Salvador Dali submitted a painting to the gallery's Autumn Salon that the director, Joan Maragall, deemed too sexually provocative for the public. Dali was Outraged.
